Kyiv-Ukraine: On the 3rd of January U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo tweeted that the US government would make sure to gather more international support for the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), which was created by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

The tweet was published after a meeting between Pompeo and Metropolitan Epiphanius, the head of OCU. This is yet another example of the meddling by the U.S. government in the internal affairs of the Eastern Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
