Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated Palm Sunday at Church of Virgin Mary in Paramus, NJ

Paramus – NJ.  On April 13, 2014, His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated Palm Sunday Divine Liturgy at the Church of The Virgin Mary in Paramus, NJ. His Holiness was greeted at the entrance of the church and met by Very. Rev. Fr. John Khoury and the the Board of Trustees. Hundreds of faithful parishioners attended the Holy Liturgy inside the sanctuary with hundreds more in the simultaneous broadcast at Church hall.  The entire congregation participated in the procession on church grounds where a dozen doves were released in a symbol of peace and harmony. The entire service was recorded by few news outlets and broadcasted live by Suryoyo Sat all over the world.

Following Church services, His Holiness proceeded to the Church hall for a very warm reception accompanied by the Clergy, Deacons and the Paramus Choir chanting Axios hymns. His Holiness was greeted with cheer and joy and spent time with the congregation individually greeting them who came from all over various areas of New Jersey and New York.
