Patriarch Hazim to Chinese Delegation: Misleading Media Reports on Syria’s Events Completely Baseless

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Patriarch Ignatius IV Hazim of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox on Monday stressed that misleading media channels are fabricating false news and reports on Syria’s events.

The remarks came during his meeting with a Chinese delegation comprising 15 intellectual, media and academic figures.

Patriarch Hazim added “In Syria we’ve been living, Muslims and Christians, in peace and amity throughout history”.

He underscored that the conspiracy against Syria aims at undermining it because of its national and pan-Arab stances, stressing that ” Not a single Christian was harmed in Syria, unlike what happened in some other Arab and European countries.”

For their part, members of the delegation stressed that the reason of the visit is to witness the reality of the events and convey it to the Chinese public opinion.

They underscored that they inspected the falseness of the misleading media reports after visiting Damascus and witnessing the normal life in it, stressing that the Syrians are able to solve their own problems.
