Kyiv Mayor conferred on His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr a commemorative medal “1530 years of Kyiv”

On May 24, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr received Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov at his residence at St Panteleimon’s Monastery in Feofaniya. The meeting was attended by Secretary for the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmenytskyy and Vyshneve, a representative of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Archpriest Basil Rusynka, Head of Kyiv Regional Council Oleksandr Kachnyy.

In particular, during the meeting, Alexander Popov congratulated His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr on the day of the city to be marked soon, and presented him a commemorative medal, made by the Kyiv authorities on the occasion of the Day of Kyiv and “1530 years of Kyiv” (by the way, 1,530 of such medals were manufactured ).
Moreover, His Beatitude conferred the order of St Nicholas on the Head of Kyiv Regional Council Oleksandr Kachnyy for his services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
