Bishop Mark to be installed in Philadelphia May 10

PHILADELPHIA, PA [DOEPA Communications] – 25/4/14

The Rite of Installation, during which His Grace, Bishop Mark will be enthroned as Bishop of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, will be celebrated at Saint Stephen Cathedral, 8598 Verree Road, Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Bishop Mark was canonically elected to fill the vacant See by the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America on March 18, 2014.  [See related story.]

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, will preside at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. and the Rite of Installation that follows.

An Installation Banquet honoring Bishop Mark will follow the Liturgy at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast, 2400 Old Lincoln Highway (US Rt. 1), Trevose, PA at 1:00 p.m.  Deadline for banquet reservations is Wednesday, April 30.  Banquet reservation forms may be downloaded here.  Forms for placing commemorative listings in a book marking the occasion also may be downloaded.  Deadline for listings is April 30.
