USA: Archbishop Abune Melketsedek of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church entered eternal rest on 6th November 2020 at the age of 97. The late Archbishop served as a Prelate in the US and was one of the most prominent Prelates of the Ethiopian Church.

Abune Melketsedek served as the Secretary-General of the Synod in exile and played a prominent role in the unification the Ethiopian Church and Synod in Exile. The mortals remain of the late Archbishop will be buried in Ethiopia.
