Trivandrum-Kerala-India: A copy of the first part of the book ‘Western Rites of Syriac-Malankara Orthodox Churches’ was presented to Kerala Council of Historical Research (KCHR) on 24/4/2019. Dr. Sanal Mohan (Director – KCHR) received a copy of the book and research papers from George Alexander (Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE – Pan-Orthodox Christian Society).
Research papers titled ‘The Russian Orthodox (ROCOR) Missionary Efforts in India – A Chronicle’ (by Fr. Angelos Stanway)’ and ‘St. Thomas & the Native Judeo-Dravidian Malankara Nasrani Church – A Brief Overview’ (by George Alexander) were submitted to the KCHR library. The book and the research papers will be cataloged for reference purpose. Both papers were published on behalf of the Center for Orthodox Studies – OCP Society. Dr. Rachel A Varghese (Research Officer), Dr. Suneesh K. K (Academic Co-ordinator), Ms. Nyna John V. F (Librarian) were present for the occasion. Dr. Sanal thanked the research boards of Metropolitan Alvares Julius Research Project (MARP) and Center for Orthodox Studies (COS) and wished the very best for the on-going research initiatives onWestern Rite Orthodoxy and Malankara Nasrani history.
