On the week of May 14th, members from the legal committee of the lawsuit filed by the Catholicosate of Cilicia for the return of its historical seat in Sis held a work meeting in Antelias under the supervision of His Holiness Aram I. A complete session of the legal committee will take place in the coming month in preparation for the filing of the case to the Turkish pre-trial Court.

In 2017, a year after the Turkish Constitutional Court refused to hear the case, the European Court of Justice also refused the lawsuit claiming it was inadmissible. However, given the determination of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in demanding its rightful ownership of the historical seat, the legal team continued their work, holding numerous consultations with European and Turkish legal specialists and reached to conclusion to re-submit the case to the Turkish pre-trial Court with certain amendments.
