Muscat- Oman: Roman Catholic Priest, Father Tom Uzhunnalil (from India), kidnapped by one of the terrorist groups in Yemen has been rescued from detention.

The government of the Sultanate of Oman played the crucial role in rescuing the Priest. Fr Tom has reached Muscat, the capital City of Oman, from where he will fly back to India.

Fr Tom was kidnapped on 4th march 2016 from Aden in Yemen. Father Tom expressed thanks to ‘God Almighty’ after his release. He also expressed his gratitude to His Majesty Qaboos bin Said – the Sultan of Oman.
