Fiji: Rev Gerontissa Melani was enthroned as the Abbess of the Dormition of the Theotokos Monastery in Saweni, Fiji. Gerondissa Melani is the first igoumeni in Fiji who is a native Fijian.

The historic ceremony was presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochios of New Zealand of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
