Provat bishop Ignatiy and Agathonisi bishop Boris compete for Bulgarian Orthodox metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav

Varna: Provat bishop Ignatiy and Agathonisi bishop Boris are the two candidates for Bulgarian Orthodox metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav. One of them will be elected metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav, Borislav Avramov, member of the Varna and Veliki Preslav eparchy said for FOCUS News Agency .

The two nominations were elected in the first voting among 13 candidates.

After the eparchy election in Varna and the adoption of an eparchy documents by the Holy Synod, according to the statute of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church the new metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav will be elected in Sofia on November 24, by the Bulgarian Patriarch and the bishops of the Holy Synod.
