On Wednesday morning, November 8, 2017, the feast day of Great Martyr Demetrios of Thessaloniki, Protopriest Wsewolod Drobot died following a long illness.

Fr Wsewolod has been a priest since 1964. Over the course of many years, he was Rector of Nativity of the Mother of God in Albany, NY. With God’s help, he built a magnificent new church in the state capital, along with a parish hall.

As the chairman of the spiritual court of the Diocese of Syracuse and Holy Trinity of the Russian Church Aroad, he helped then-Archbishop (later Metropolitan and First Hierarch) Laurus in administrating his diocese.

Fr Wsewolod was well-known in the Church Abroad, and was highly valued by archpastors, pastors, monastics and laity for his wealth of experience, humanity and wisdom.

Eternal memory to Fr Wsewolod, and may he repose with the saints!
