On Sunday, September 10, 2017, the eve of the feast day of St John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, DC, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, performed divine services along with the cathedral’s clergymen.

The myrrh-streaming “Hawaiian Iveron” Icon of the Mother of God was brought the cathedral for the celebration, which was attended by a great multitude of people.
