Patriarchal Visit to Aleppo – Evening Prayer at Mor Aphrem Cathedral

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II arrived to Aleppo for a pastoral visit. He was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs, His Grace Mor George Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, Very Rev. Raban Cyrillos Babi and Deacon Esia Bahdi.

Upon his arrival, His Holiness was welcomed by Very Rev. Raban Boutros Kassis, Patriarchal Delegate of the Archdiocese of Aleppo and Environs, as well as the other priests and clergy of the Archdiocese. His Holiness prayed at Mor Aphrem Cathedral in Al-Sulaymaniyeh – Aleppo, thanking the Lord for arriving safely to Aleppo.

He spoke a short message expressing his joy to be with the faithful of Aleppo and prayed for the safe return of His Eminence Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim.

His Holiness then received groups who came to welcome him to Aleppo. He then presided over the evening prayer which was conducted at the Cathedral on the eve of the Feast of the Annunciation.
