Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II attends private screening of the Sayfo Documentary by Syrian Television

His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the private screening of the newly released Sayfo Documentary prepared by the Syrian Television.

The documentary is about the 1915 Syriac Genocide Sayfo. It contains several testimonies from survivors of Sayfo.
The screening was followed by a performance of St. Aphrem Patriarchal Choir. It included several traditional Syriac songs.

His Holiness thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs which patroned this event, especially mentioning former Minister Dr. Kinda Al-Shammat. He reminded all of the persecutions that the Syriac people underwent throughout the ages and the recent difficulties Christians are facing in the Middle East.
