Orthodox youth to gather in Paris

11/2/2011

The International Orthodox Youth Meet will take place between July 1 and 8 in Paris, informs the Moscow Patriarchate’s Public Relations department.

This is the first European gathering, with previous summits, running since 1973, held in the US, Canada, Australia and Latin America.

The Orthodox forum is set to bring together over 100 delegates and received the blessings of Patriarch Krill of Moscow and All-Russia and Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York.

This will be the first assembly of young Orthodox believers after the 2006 establishment of full canonical interaction between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.
