MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Belarusian and Greek Orthodox Churches have agreed that the relic of the right hand of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous will be brought to Belarus and be on display on 9-17 May 2013, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Exarchate.

The relic which is to be brought from Corfu, Kerkyra will be displayed in Minsk and other cities of Belarus.

The move was blessed by Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus and Metropolitan Nectarious of Kerkyra, Paxoi and Diapontia Islands who sent Christmas greetings to all the Belarusians not long ago. “Christ was born and will be born in the hearts and souls of people every day.
