BENGALURU -INDIA: The 3-day 15th annual Bangalore Orthodox Convention called Meltho (meaning ‘the Word’) will be held from January 31 to February 2, 2020, at the India Campus Crusade Auditorium at St Thomas Town, Bengaluru.
The convention is being organized by Indian (Malankara) Orthodox Syrian Church, Bangalore Region.
HG Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim, Bengaluru Diocese Metropolitan, Indian Orthodox Church, and Fr Dr. Thomas Varghese Amayil (Bursar, Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam) will be the chief orators who will lead the convention discourses for the faithful from 7.15 pm.
The ‘Meltho 2020’ convention is being organized by the Orthodox parishes of Bangalore region of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
Very Rev P C Philip Cor-Episcopa is the Convenor for the 2020 Bangalore Orthodox Convention.
The highlight of the convention will be a seminar for young couples and an orientation for students appearing for board exams on February 1.
On January 31, HG Dr Mar Seraphim will inaugurate the convention and deliver the opening address followed by convention discourse from Fr Dr. Amayil.
On February 2, Sunday, the Metropolitan will also lead the holy liturgy and deliver the concluding address at 11.45 am.
Devotional songs and intercessory prayers will be sung by the Bangalore Orthodox Gospel Team during the convention.
Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam will operate a bookstall with Meltho calendar and CDs available on all the three days at the venue.
