HH Karekein II sends Condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin and His Holiness Kirill I

On October 31, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a letter of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin; and His Holiness Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; in sympathy for the vicitms of the Sharm-el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg plane crash.

His Holiness expressed condolences to the Russian President and Russian Patriarch, on behalf of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church, her clergy and her mournful faithful throughout the nation.

“We pray for the Lord and the Holy Spirit to comfort the families of the Russian faithful. And may God have mercy upon the souls of the dead, so they may rest in peace in the heavenly heights”, it was stated in part in the condolence letter of the Catholicos.
