Director of the Indian Orthodox Icon School Fr Bobby Graduates from SVOTS

New York: Fr Boby Varghese, the director of Mar Baselius School of Icon Writing & Liturgy of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Church has graduated from the St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, Crestwood, New York in Master degree studies where he joined the campus in the year 2012. He has also done advance studies in Orthodox Iconography in USA. He received his graduation certificate from Metropolitan Tikon – Primate of the Orthodox Church in America.

Fr Boby is the director of the first ever Icon Writing School of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Church. The Icon Writing School is based at the Kandand East Diocesan headquarters of the Indian Church.

Fr Boby aims at developing Indian styled Icons and has already started working on the same. He has already written the first ever Indian Orthodox styled icons of St Peter and St Paul. Fr Boby shares fraternal relations with Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society and intends to develop Orthodox Icon projects with OCP foundation.
