Bucharest – Romania: His Highness King Michael I of Romania entered eternal rest on December 5th Tuesday, 2017 (age 96) at his residence in Aubonne, Switzerland.

A faithful of the Romanian Orthodox Church, King Michael I is well known for taking a strong stand against the fascist rule in Romania as well as saving thousands of lives during World War II.

Patriarch Daniel of Romania conveyed his condolences to the Royal House. Prayers are offered for the late King in all Romanian Churches and Monasteries.
