Delegation from the Regional Episcopal Synod in India Visits Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the Regional Holy Synod of India at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh.

The delegation was headed by His Eminence Mor Gregorius Joseph, Metropolitan of Cochin and Secretary of the Regional Episcopal Synod in India, and included their Eminences: Mor Ivanius Matthews, Metropolitan of Kandanad, and Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam.

The meeting was also attended by their Eminences: Mor Dioscoros Kuriakose, Metropolitan of the Simahasana Churches in the North of Kerala and Abbot of Malecuriz Dayro, Mor Athanasius Geevarghese, Metropolitan of the Simahasana Churches in the South of Kerala and Abbot of Mor Ignatius Dayro, and Mor Timotheos Matthew, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs.

The delegation informed His Holiness about the recent developments in the situation of our Church in India. His Holiness discussed the different issues with their Eminences and directed them to do what is for the benefit of the Church in India.
