Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin – 5/9/17

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS KAREKIN II,
SUPREME PATRIARCH AND CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS,
ON THE OCCASION OF THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE
( September 1, 2017 )

From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin we extend Our Pontifical blessings on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and the new academic year; congratulating all the teachers, students and schoolchildren of educational institutions.

The Day of Knowledge is an amazing and great wonder. Over the centuries, even in catastrophic times, our people have valued education, and kept bright the knowledge of love and the light of its schools. Indeed, a well-educated and civilized society is capable of reforming life, making good judgments on the issues facing them, and progresses to makes their visions a reality.

Blessing of Teachers in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

We wish that our educational institutions become stronger day-by-day, and succeed in their mission in the Homeland and the Diaspora, educating our children with comprehensive knowledge, a faithful and patriotic spirit, and the ability to keep the presence of our Christian nation evident in the world; which although small in number with its creativity has always been compared with the great ones.

We extend our appreciation to the lecturers and educators for their good and zealous activity. We convey our Pontifical appeal to our children to love education, be diligent and prudent, and not fail in their duties.
We extend our prayers to Almighty God to bless the efforts of the education supporters and grant our children a courageous mind and soul. May the new Academic year be blessed and fruitful. Amen!

With Blessings
KAREKIN II
CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS
