The Coptic Orthodox Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria will be in the Netherlands from the 15th until the 17th of October for a pastoral visit to the Dutch Coptic community.

A number of delegates from the Dutch Coptic Church will travel to Egypt soon to discuss the papal visit. The 87 year old pontiff is expected to consecrate the Aartsengel Michaël en Sint Antonius Abt parish church in Eindhoven, but this will depend on the church leader’s health. The Netherlands is home to about 4,500 Orthodox Copts.
