Africa: The Islamic State in Nigeria killed eleven Christians in response to the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The killing took place in the north-eastern Borno State. A video was released on the 26th of December 2019. Under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari, the Preseindt of Nigeria, atrocities against Christians are on the rise at an unprecedented scale. Islamic groups like Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen have committed heinous crimes against Christians.
Unidentified gunmen slew 14 Christians in a Protestant Church during the first week of December 2019. The local Roman Catholic Bishops have warned that various Islamic extremist groups are trying to create an extreme and dangerous divide between Christian and Muslims.
