Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Students from the Hovnanian School of New Jersey

Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin – April 2016

On April 19, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the graduating class of the Hovnanian School (New Jersey, U.S.A.) in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The students are being accompanied by Mr. Hratch Toufayan, a benefactor of Mother See.

Welcoming the visit of the Hovnanian School students to the Mother See, His Holiness expressed his gratitude that their annual meeting has become a beautiful tradition. Especially to the Armenian nation who, during the cherished month of April, commemorate the immortal memory of the Armenian Genocide victims and asks for prayers of intercession for the nation and the world. His Holiness stressed that the spirit of martyrdom and patriotism was manifested in recent days in Artsakh where the Armenian soldiers of

the Artsakh army defended the borders with their own lives. TheCatholicos of All Armenians expressed hope that their example will inspire the students of the Hovnanian School, filling their hearts and souls with love and devotion for the Homeland and the Mother Church.

His Holiness conveyed his personal appreciation and blessings to Mr. Hratch Toufayan, for his caring attitude towards the Armenian children, particularly the pupils of the Armenian Church Youth Center of Etchmiadzin.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness expressed his blessings and great appreciation to the faculty and staff of the Hovnanian School, urging them to keep the Armenian identity and unbreakable Armenian spirit strong within them.
