Catholicos of All Armenians Expresses His Support to Border-Protection Soldiers and Condolences to Families of Killed Soldiers

Over recent days, in light of the unfortunate events that have occurred on the Armenian- Azerbaijan border and at the Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has expressed His condolences and support to the families and relatives of the heroes who sacrificed their lives during the combat operations defending the Homeland. “We deeply mourn the death of the heroes killed on the border defending the homeland. Our beautiful heroes with courageous spirits, repelled the enemy, ensuring the tranquility of our country and her people. Their names will always be remembered with prayers on the lips of Armenian sons and daughters, and generations will be humbled in front of their immortal memory’’, said His Holiness in his message.

The Catholicos of All Armenians also brings His blessings to the soldiers who are defending the Armenian borders, wishing that Almighty God keep them safe, to continue their devoted service for the peaceful and prosperous life of our people.

Led by His Holiness, memorial services will be offered this coming Sunday 10 August, 2014, in all Armenian churches, for the repose of souls and peace for the fallen heroes. Visitations will be made to their families.
