On May 10, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Emanuel Macron, newly elected President of the Republic of France.

“France has been and continues to be, one of the powerful and foremost countries of the European family, that today makes important contributions in spreading universal values and establishment of peace in the world. For the coming years, the French people believing in your abilities, avowed values and experience, have entrusted you with the responsible mission of leading the nation.

We are confident that during your term, the relations between Armenia and France will continue to develop. The solid basis of which is the centuries-old friendship of our peoples, and the active involvement of the Armenian community living and engaging in the social, political and cultural life of France.”, stated His Holiness in part.

The Catholicos of All Armenians wished for Almighty God to support the newly elected President and grant him successful endeavors for the welfare of the friendly country of France.
