Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin – March 2018

On March 2, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Armen Sargsyan on his election as the fourth President of the Republic of Armenia.

The congratulatory message stated in part: “From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin we convey our Pontifical congratulations and blessing to you, on being elected President of the Republic of Armenia.

You assume the position of the President during a period of modern history of our free and independent state, when our country is transitioning to a new system of governance, full of new hopes and expectations for progress.

We are pleased that our people have entrusted you with the Presidency, who has rich management experience, and wide recognition and reputation both in the international arena and in the Diaspora.

We ask the Almighty’s support and guidance for you dear President, so that the years of your presidency be recorded in the history of our country as a period of peace and security strengthening, progress in achievements, and reinforcement of national unity and solidarity”.

His Holiness also expressed his wish that Almighty God bless the elected President with his most generous graces and grant hims good health and longevity.
