Status of Hagia Sofia at the Disposal of the Turkish President : Verdict to be Announced in Fifteen Days 

OCP News Service - 2/7/2020 Istanbul:  The status of Hagia Sofia, the original Cathedral of the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and the one of the world’s finest Byzantine Orthodox architectural masterpiece is put under the disposal of the Turkish government headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by the top administrative court of Turkey.  The court also stated that a verdict will be announced within the next 15 days to determine the fate of the historic Orthodox cathedral.  Erdogan has been pushing the conversion of Cathedral (now a museum) amid international pressure.  Source:  OCP News Service
