Bishop of Baku and Caspian region addresses Orthodox Christians regarding upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Bishop Alexander of Baku and the Caspian region has addressed the Orthodox Christians regarding the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

APA reports that at the meeting in the Caucasian Muslims Board the Bishop has today called on the Orthodox Christians to vote for Ilham Aliyev.

He said that Heydar Aliyev has properly created Azerbaijan’s development mechanism prior to Ilham Aliyev and he continues it at the high level: “Ilham Aliyev ensures rapid development and tolerance in Azerbaijan. The Orthodox Christians will vote for him.”
