Andrew-the-First-Called Foundation denounces criticism of Tallinn mayor

The leadership of the Saint Andrew-the-First-Called Foundation has denounced criticism of Tallinn Mayor Edgar Savisaar over his request for aid in building an Orthodox church in the Estonian capital.

It dismissed as absurd allegations by some Estonian politicians and media that Savisaar’s actions undermine the country’s security. Earlier, Estonian security police called him an “agent of influence”.

The St. Andrew-the-First-Called Foundation supports Orthodox parishioners and funds church construction and renovation in many countries.
