Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch and All East
Beirut: Mor Yacoub Edward Consecrated as New Archbishop of Patriarchal Vicariate of Guatemala. His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas consecrated Very Rev. Rabban Edward as the Archbishop of Patriarchal Vicariate of Guatemala in the name “MOR YACOUB” on 06th March 2013 at the Monastery of St Jacob Baradeaus in Atchena, Beirut, Lebanon.
The Syriac Orthodox Church has a fast growing Mission in Guatemala and other parts of South America. There has been large number of converts to different Orthodox Churches/Missions in Latin American region in recent years particularly from the Roman Catholic Church.
