A temporary exhibition on “The Armenian Genocide: Frontpage Coverage in the Foreign Media” opened at the Capuchin Church in Beirut.

The exhibition was organized by Central Body of Lebanon on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute with the support of the Beirut City Hall.

The exhibition presents about 70 Russian, American, Italian, French and British publications of 1860-1922, with stories of Armenian massacres and their consequences on their front pages.

”The fair right of the Armenian people should remain bright in our people’s memory, which the survivors passed on to their sons. As for collective memory, it should be handed down from generation to generation,” Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Lebanon, Archbishop Gegham Khacheryan said at the opening ceremony.

The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute will organize temporary exhibitions in Lebanon, Denmark, Sweden and the US.
