ETCHMIADZIN. – The Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on Sunday received a delegation led by the Mayor of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri, who is Armenia to attend the “Yerevan: World Book Capital 2012” celebrations.
Karekin II reflected on the Holy See of Saint Etchmiadzin’s role and significance in the beginning and development of Armenian printing, the Holy See informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He added that the Armenian and Argentinean people are very similar to one another in terms of emotions and experiences, and they feel a special love and affection toward each other.
At the end of the meeting, Karekin II conveyed his blessings to the people of Argentina, represented by the Mayor of Buenos Aires.
