Delegation of Armenian Community representatives inGeorgialed by Primate of the Georgian Diocese of theArmenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan visited Patriarch of all Georgians Ilya the Second on January 11. They congratulated New Year and Christmas of the Georgian religious leader.

Primate of the Georgian Diocese of theArmenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan spoke about the terrible situation of Armenian Churches inTbilisiwith Patriarch. The later promised to mediate to solve the problem.

To be sincere this promise is not reliable at all. Georgian side promises to protect Armenian Churches in its territory but we wee just the opposite. As everyone remembersArmenian Church St. Nshan in Georgian capital Tbilisi was burnt on January 9. People who live nearby informed Times.am reporter that they did not know the reason of the fire. At the same time they noted that people without place to live, drug-men and drunk men always gather at the church, which is left by everyone.

Georgian authorities also do not answer to the question about the reasons of the fire. Firemen of our neighboring country put out the fire not with foam but with water and it also damaged the walls of the church. As a result of all these damages South-Eastern wall of the church went to ruin on January 9. This is not the first case and other Armenian Churches inTbilisiare in more terrible situation or have already just gone to ruin.
