Patriarch Kirill serves liturgy in Damascus

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and Patriarch Ignatius IV of Antiochand All the East have conducted a liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral in Damascus.

The service, which was held in both Russian and Arabic, brought together hundreds of Orthodox Christian Syrians, including the Russian-speaking residents of Damascus.

Patriarch Kirill is staying in Syria as part of his peacemaking tour, which will also include Lebanon later next week.
