On June 9, the session of the Academic Council of Kyiv Theological Academy was held, chaired by Rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, Archbishop Anthony of Boryspil.
The session was opened by greeting word of Archbishop Anthony and handing out diplomas on conferment of academic degree of the Candidate of Theology to the teachers of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary hegumen Marcel Pavuk and Hegumen Sylvester Stoychev, also the rector greeted Khronenko I.V., a teacher of the KTA&S on his birthday anniversary and jubilee, delivering the Order of the Venerable Elias of Murom, 2nd degree.
Then the defense of the candidate’s theses took place.
Thereafter, according to the proceedings the reports were made by the vice-rectors for education work of the KTA&S, Secretary of the Academic Council, assistant to the rector for academic research work, economist, curator of the Students’ academic society, Department Chairmen. All those present were handed new issues of the Works of Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary” and the students’ magazine “Academic Chronicler”.
In conclusion Archbishop Anthony handed over the orders for merits to teachers and co-workers of the Theological schools:
Archimandrite Nicodemus Baranovskyy – Order of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, 2nd degree;
Hegumen Sylvester Stoychev – Order of the Venerable Nestor the Chronicler, 2nd degree;
T.A. Borozinets – Order of the Venerable Elias of Murom, 2nd degree;
T.M. Lakhno – Order of St. Anna, 2nd degree;
О.А. Fedorchenko – Order of St. Anna, 2nd degree.
