An Orthodox Parish Opened in Nepal
An Orthodox parish in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God the Multiplier of Wheat was opened in the capital of Nepal, Katmandu, on the decision by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. The services will be conducted by Father Gennady Moroz, rector of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delhi. The first liturgy took place in Nepal in 2004. Over the past few years the priests of the Moscow Patriarchate would arrive in Katmandu twice a year at the request of the Russian diplomats working in Nepal to conduct Easter and Christmas services.

I will be visiting Nepal between February and March 10. I am a Greek ORthodox Christian, that specializes in addiction counseling and domestic violence. I worked with several priests in Romania, along with doctors, psychologists, and social workers twice in 2009. I would have approximately 2 weeks to do seminars and workshops for priests on these topics.
