10-Year Anniversary since the Ordination of Bishop David of Stobi

Orthodox Ohrid Archbishopric (Autonomous Archbishopric of the Serbian Orthodox Church) – June-July – August 2017

His Eminence, Bishop David of Stobi and Administrator of Strumitsa (who was ordained into the rank of a bishop on June 17 2007), on June 18 2017 celebrated the 10-year anniversary since the ordination.

On this occasion, Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the monastery “Dormition of the Theotokos”, near Skopje, by His Beatitude Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, together with their Eminences Bishop Marko of Bregalnica and Administrator of Bitola, and Bishop David of Stobi and Administrator of Strumitsa, as well as with other priests and deacons.

After the reading of the Gospel, His Beatitude Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje addressed the gathered faithful people with an inspired homily, at the same time congratulating the 10-year anniversary since the ordination to Bishop David of Stobi. At the end of the Liturgy, Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid gave Bishop David of Stobi an encolpoion as a gift, and Bishop David held a homily regarding the anniversary, thanking the Archbishop and everybody that came to congratulate him on this occasion.

Following, food was served for all that were present. A program of folk songs was performed on traditional instruments.
